Approximately seventy local churches from various backgrounds participated in this celebration last year. This is your opportunity to take part in a public demonstration of Christian UNITY without compromise! Be part of the answer to Jesus’ prayer: “My prayer for all of them is that they will be of one heart and mind, just as you and I are, Father - that the world will believe you sent me” (John 17:21).

I encourage you to purchase your tickets early. Tickets are $20 (register online below). The number to call for additional brochures and information is 256-882-7651. In addition, weekly city-wide prayer will occur Tuesdays 7pm (in Covenant of Peace sanctuary at 926 Weatherly Road) leading up to the Passover celebration. Family Reunion

The Christ Our Passover Celebration has often been referred to as Huntsville’s Christian family reunion. Regardless of your church or denominational affiliation, remember, we are all a part of God’s Kingdom. The day before our Lord celebrated His final Passover meal, prior to His crucifixion, He prayed: “I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: that the world might know that you sent me.” (John 17:22-23)

Everyone Welcome

Join believers from many streams of the Christian faith in celebrating together at this event of Holy Week. For the last ten years, the focus has included the Hebrew Seder meal, but this year shall include a greater focus on the Christian Communion and on why we call it “The Lord’s Supper.”

The Melchizedek Transition

“Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” (Hebrews 6:19-20)

Who was Melchizedek? What is the whole story, and how does it possibly relate to the Hebrew Seder meal? What possible connection might the Melchizedek story have with the Christian Communion/ Eucharist? Theologians, Rabbi’s, Bible Scholars, Prophetic Teachers, and Pastors of all streams and persuasions have sought to define this mystical character. We will reflect on this story together. Don’t miss it!

Deliverance and Brotherhood/Unity are key lessons to be learned from the Passover. That Christ can deliver us from every enslaving condition of mankind and humility is the key to unity! Jesus demonstrated these two lessons by offering the cup of blessing and washing the disciple feet.

A Gift to Bless the City

"Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper." (Jer 29:7-8)

The annual Christ Our Passover Celebration provides an opportunity for the corporate Christian community to respond to this biblical directive and bless our wonderful city of Huntsville, Alabama. Our contributions to an entity in the city from which all of our citizens benefit will continue this year with a special opportunity for those who would like to share in this unique gift to honor and bless our city and community.

Admission Price

Admission price is $20 per plate, which will go entirely toward expenses. Our desire is for everyone to attend, and so we have developed a sponsorship program through individuals and churches for those who may need assistance to attend. Please call (256) 882-7651 for more information and REGISTRATION is available online at: www.AwarenessMinistry.org

We are confident that you will leave this celebration knowing you have genuinely honored your Lord!

Comments from several Area Pastors!

“I am delighted to enthusiastically endorse the Christ Our Passover celebration. In my opinion this activity has made a significant impact on the Christian community in helping them gain a clearer understanding of the history of the Judeo-Christian roots of the Christian faith. A number of former participants have commented to me how helpful this event has been in enhancing their understanding of the faith.” Rev Dr. John L. Herndon, Fellowship Presbyterian Church (USA)

“The Christ Our Passover celebration affords an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the unity of the Body of Christ in the Huntsville area. In the context of the Jewish Passover Feast, participants gather to break bread, worship, and celebrate the prophetic fulfillment of the Passover in our Lord Jesus Christ. This is truly a wonderful gathering.” Pastor Alan Weatherly, Asbury United Methodist Church

“I continue to marvel at the unique contribution the Christ our Passover event brings to our city - and region! It has a way of creatively uniting the Body of Christ while at the same time linking Hebrew and Christian sensitivities and understandings of the world God has created and continues to create! Who knows what ‘new thing’ the Holy One will bring about this year through this most meaningful celebration of unity!” Rev Frank Broyles, Faith Presbyterian Church

“This event is one that crosses the barriers of Church Denominations and allows us to come as one through our Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ. I encourage the Body of Christ, throughout the entire region, to come and ‘keep the feast’ together at the Christ Our Passover celebration.” Pastor Rusty Nelson, Rock Family Worship Center
